What is Good?
What is good? It is like a rainstorm, common enough yet impossible to explain
to anyone who has not experienced it. The dry thunder that precedes it,
the smell of earth, the trees lashing, the clouds, the rain itself, shattering.
It is like rain filling a narrow glass vase and brimming.
It is three irises covered with gold leaf.
What is Good?
Daphne.
It detests us and yet we crown ourselves with it.
