Depression swallows you whole, then lies down to digest for months. The jaws of snakes are unhinged like a birth canal. In my dreams I see a large woman crawling up on her back and with a swift scissoring movement, gripping a fair-sized antelope between her legs, kicking it inside with
the balls of her heels.
