Mary Medina (?-?)
She was my step-mother, technically, but I had never seen her. She was only
married to my father for a month when he was serving in Germany. When she
discovered that he had two grown sons she nullified the marriage. She sent
us a long letter explaining herself, a defence of sorts.
Medea---that's what he contracted her name to. Wyndham later told me that

she was our step-mother then, naturally, we were monsters. Medea, he said,
was the step-mother of the Minotaur.
